Overview
Nearly a century ago, Standley Systems began as a typewriter company built on precision, reliability and adaptability. Through the decades, the business has continually evolved to meet the demands of new technology while holding true to its original promise: “We keep you going.”
Today, that promise extends to how Standley Systems supports managed print programs at scale. With a small but specialized DCA team managing more than 26,000 devices nationwide, the company needed a monitoring approach that could keep up without adding manual work or slowing response times. Standardizing on EKM with Predictive InSight didn’t just improve visibility and automation. It also changed what Standley expects from a partner.
“That’s when we realized this wasn’t just another vendor. Predictive InSight took ownership like it was their own business. That made all the difference,” said Danny, Professional Services Manager at Standley Systems.
About Standley Systems
Headquartered in Chickasha, Oklahoma with additional offices in Tulsa, Lawton, and Plano/Dallas, Texas. Standley Systems supports organizations with a broad mix of print, IT and document/workflow solutions. What stands out is the company’s internal operating mindset: a “Work Together. Win Together.” culture backed by structured professional development (including programs like a Leadership Academy and Lead Now),plus ongoing training and conferences to keep teams sharp as technology evolves.
On the managed print side, that same focus on performance and consistency shows up in execution. Standley’s DCA team operates with a high-efficiency model supporting large, distributed environments while maintaining reliable monitoring standards at scale.
About the Team
Danny serves as the Professional Services Manager at Standley Systems, leading the company’s solutions suite and overseeing its data collection initiatives. With years of experience optimizing client workflows and technology systems, he plays a key role in driving operational excellence and strengthening long-term customer relationships.
Morgan, the team’s Solutions Specialist, manages DCA administration and implementation. She handles day-to-day device operations, monitors reporting accuracy, and ensures data flows smoothly across Standley’s expanding network. Her attention to detail and proactive approach have helped Standley scale without losing control of the day-to-day.
The Challenge
For a team managing thousands of devices across multiple states, a DCA can’t be “good enough.” Small delays create large consequences: missing data, stale devices, broken reports, and a support model that turns every issue into a waiting game.
“We started with IDM, and it just wasn’t a good fit,” said Morgan. “It didn’t meet our needs like Predictive InSight does with EKM. It didn’t have the support to back it up.”
The team couldn’t get ahead of issues. Instead, they were always reacting.
“With IDM, it felt like we were constantly chasing our tails,” Morgan explained. “Reports would go missing, devices would go stale, and we were stuck waiting for answers that never came. Sometimes it took 24 hours, sometimes a week, or not at all. With EKM, I hear back within 10 or 15 minutes. Once it was literally two minutes.”
Danny shared the same frustration from a broader operational view.
“IDM just didn’t give us visibility,” he said. “We’d have to rebuild reports every time, and there was no way to get ahead of issues. We were reacting instead of managing. That’s not sustainable when you’ve got clients depending on you to keep everything running.”
Standley didn’t need another tool to trial. They needed a clearer standard, faster support, and a partner who could keep pace with the business.
Why EKM and Predictive InSight
Standley’s turning point came through an acquisition in Texas: Verity. The acquisition didn’t just expand the business, it exposed the team to a different operating reality.
“That’s how we discovered EKM,” Morgan said. “Verity already had Predictive InSight in place, and we could immediately see how much smoother things ran for them. It was like night and day.”
What stood out wasn’t only the platform. It was the way Predictive InSight showed up: hands-on, collaborative, and proactive about removing friction.
“They really come in with a lot of support,” Morgan said. “They automated reports, built templates, and streamlined client communication.”
That combination of stronger tooling and real operational support became the differentiator Standley had been missing all along.
The Migration
With only two people managing DCA operations, Standley’s migration from IDM to EKM could have been a slow, disruptive lift. Instead, Predictive InSight embedded alongside the team and helped carry the weight of the rollout.
“When we began migrating from IDM to EKM with just two people, it was really hard,” Morgan admitted.
“But Predictive InSight helped with calls, emails, and installs. They didn’t just tell us what to do-they were in it with us. That helped a whole lot.” Danny saw it the same way—less like vendor support, more like a partnership.
“That’s when we realized this wasn’t just another vendor,” Danny added. “Predictive InSight took ownership like it was their own business. That made all the difference.”
Security and Confidence
Because DCA software lives inside customer environments, security concerns can slow deployments, especially with government agencies and financial institutions. Under IDM, that hesitation sometimes forced less efficient approaches.
“With IDM, we had city utilities and government clients that didn’t want vulnerabilities,” Danny explained. “Some required manual reads because they didn’t trust it, and that made maintenance nearly impossible.”
Predictive InSight helped Standley address objections directly with documentation, IT collaboration, and flexible protocols.
“Their team provided detailed white papers, met directly with IT departments, and customized security protocols,” Danny said. “One major win came with the Oklahoma Department of State. Their security initially blocked the install, but Predictive InSight worked with their developers and analysts, resolved everything, and got approval within a week. That’s flexibility and attention.”
For Standley, those wins mattered beyond a single install—they strengthened trust with the most cautious clients and unlocked smoother growth.
Empowering Efficiency
Standardizing on EKM changed how data moved through Standley’s business. Reporting became faster, more visual, and easier to share without rebuilding from scratch.
“The out-of-the-box reports cover nearly everything,” Morgan said. “And if we need something custom, they build it fast. On a daily basis, it makes our jobs so much easier. I can say, ‘91.9% of devices are reporting,’ and show that instantly on a dashboard. That was impossible before.”
Clients noticed too, and the platform experience improved how customers interacted with their own environments.
“We’ve even had direct feedback saying EKM is ‘so much better’ than IDM. More information, clearer data, and easier management,” Morgan added. “The interface is intuitive, and now clients can see their own data instead of relying on us to interpret it.”
Looking Ahead
Over time, Predictive InSight became a partner Standley could scale with— collaborative, responsive, and aligned on shared goals.
“They’re amazing to work with,” Morgan said. “They explain things well, make time for meetings, and always come prepared. That support has been huge.” That support proved out in the migration results.
“We achieved over ninety percent migration success,” Morgan shared. “Only about six hundred clients didn’t transfer, and most were inactive. We wouldn’t have hit those numbers without their help.”
As Standley continues to grow, the team expects Predictive InSight to keep evolving alongside them.
“They listen and adapt as we grow,” Morgan said.
Danny agreed: “EKM gave us what we needed and more. Their responsiveness sealed it. That’s what makes Predictive InSight stand out.”
Together, the teams turned a demanding migration into an operating model built for automation, visibility, and reliability at scale. Standley has always focused on keeping clients going. With EKM and Predictive InSight behind the scenes, they’re set up to go even further.
